Abstract

The two books written by Hamidi and Hariri officials, the first written in Persian and the second in Arabic, are full of numerous narrations and stories that deal with important social issues such as party etiquette. Receiving guests and going to a party causes friendship and unity among the Muslims society, which creates unity and brotherhood. There are many references to party etiquette in these books. Examining the contents of these two books about the party shows that Hamidi and Hariri are influenced by the Islamic teachings and precepts in composing these materials. The guest and the host are two sides of this social behavior, and each of them have functions and duties towards the other. Some duties of the host in Hamidi and Hariri officials are: Honoring and welcoming the guest, adequate and appropriate reception, welcoming the guests and escorting them. On the other side some examples of the guest duties towards the host are: Not accompanying the guest that is not invited by host , shortening the party time and not bothering the host.
